September 12th and 13th, Les Sages Fous will be hosting the
9th edition of their festival dedicated to
experimentation and works-in-progress in puppetry.

Une programmation internationale des plus exaltante

Ten projects from Brazil, United States, Israel, Alberta and Quebec will arrive in Trois-Rivières with their theatrical paraphenalia to present works-in-progress in puppet and object theater.

Among the guests: Zaven Paré, a renowned performer and eclectic robotics artist from Brazil who has also designed sets and costumes for choreographers Marie Chouinard and Edouard Lock and for director Denis Marleau; Inbal Yomtovian Israel, a young graduate of the prestigious School of Visual Theatre in Jerusalem, who has twice received the Jerusalem Mayor's Award for Excellence and Artistic Achievement for her work in puppetry; Ziggurat theatre from Maine with "The Puzzle Box"; and Les Sages Fous, will be presenting their new creation in gestation:Tricycle.

Performances will be presented in two theaters both onstage and backstage, as well as in the wings. The workshop will host an interactive installation. An outdoor performance will be presented on the esplanade in front of the cultural center.

Participate in the excitement of theatrical creation, taste the thrill of stepping into the unknown, experience the beauty of the first steps! This unique event brings together artists from different generations, some with important international reputations, and emerging artists, who share the stage and accompany each other in their creation process.

These two unusual evenings of short forms, and interactive installations, will take place on the 12th and 13th of September in 19:00 at Maison de la culture de Trois-Rivières.
