MINUSCULE & GRANDIOSE OPENING CELEBRATIONS OF LA FABRIQUE DE THÉÂTRE INSOLITE

Les Sages Fous are particularly proud to invite you to the opening celebrations of the Fabrique de théâtre insolite. For this moment of great excitement, Les Sages Fous have concocted a festive evening filled with mystery.
The building will be festively decorated, transformed into a cabinet of curiosities brimming with photos, strange objects and models of the building's transformation. Visitors will cross the threshold in small groups for a labyrinthine tour that will reveal the spirit of the place hidden in the nooks and crannies of this ancestral building.
All together, we'll converge in the chapel to witness the beginnings of Minuscule et Grandiose, a ritual that marries the building with its new vocation: that of a place dedicated to the creative process in puppetry and object theater. This unfinished form is the beginning of an in situ theater project which, over the coming months, will take over the entire heritage site.
After the ceremony, the company's workshop will be transformed into a small cinema, showing short films celebrating the birth of the site by puppeteers from all horizons.

Based on science-fiction films from the 70s, this ciné-concert explores the imaginary world of the conquest of space.
Live music and dubbing play with the images, creating burlesque situations and demonstrating that science fiction can rhyme with humor. Electronic machines, synthesizers, cobbled-together special effects: amidst their toys, the two actors and musicians take us into their offbeat universe of interstellar cinema!
Imagine receiving a mysterious message from the far reaches of the universe...
Far from threatening or intimidating, this message simply invites us to come and party on an unknown planet: the planet Mirror. All nations are invited, and join forces to send several ships to the party - in disguise, of course. A few twists and turns await the crews on their journey...

Disgraceland is a show in which four chambermaids deconstruct the iconic Elvis Presley through puppetry and platinism (the art of hijacking record players as musical instruments).
Les veuves parallèles (Parallel Widows) paints a dreamlike portrait of a family in which the terrifying and the banal coexist. Through the story of Amanda, who remained mute for the last 18 years of her life, this work questions the transmission of memory between women of different generations. Sailing between the real and the imaginary, the dining room table becomes the stage through which the past resurfaces. To the sound of the violin, fragments of life laden with secrets are interwoven and superimposed on everyday gestures. An invitation to enter the elusive world of memory.
In her cozy little living room, an elderly woman takes us on a journey through the most important moments of her life. The objects that surround her daily life and populate her living room remind us of the woman she once was: a journey in which we follow the woman, the spouse, the mother, and what she has accomplished. A multitude of ingenious scenic devices and objects are used to take the spectator on a touching journey back in time, through a voice and a body that are quivering, delicate and fragile. Canadian author David Baudemont, with "Orange au pays des Angles", is the winner of the call for French-language puppet texts Autre chose est possible, launched by Les Enfants Sauvages, at FMTM 2021. This creation is the conclusion of an incredible collective adventure, which brought together 34 authors, 42 readers, 12 directors, 36 actors and hundreds of spectators...
David Baudemont's text for the general public is an ode to difference, with a strong emphasis on the poetry of mathematics. It questions the notion of "rules": must they always be respected? Sometimes to the point of absurdity? Do rules deprive us of our singularity? In the play, Orange and Triangle Rectangle are pitted against each other... How can they become friends?
David Baudemont's message is absolutely universal, and more necessary than ever: difference is richness...

Incarnations transitoires is a research and creation project underway since autumn 2021. On the one hand, it revolves around the desire to explore the dramaturgical potential of the theater of matter, favoring large volumes of raw materials. On the other hand, it is based on the desire to put the body in motion in relation to these materials, which come to life and transform. The idea is to transpose and externalize fleeting but invasive inner states into moving masses that interact with the body in ways that are at times abstract, poetic and playful.
